Description

This is a 7-wire Blower Motor Resistor Harness (pigtail) used to repair melted and/or burned up harnesses on Chevrolet and GM (General Motors) cars and trucks. This harness plugs into the Blower Motor Resistor pack under the dash.

Our harness is an upgraded, direct replacement for the GM 15862656 and the AC Delco PT2195

In most cases the Blower Motor Resistor Pack will also have to be replaced. (available from you local parts house)

Used by Chevrolet and GM Dealerships since 2004.

Details

This harness has been updated to address the failures in the original (OEM) harness and previous versions of the AC Delco PT2195 pigtail and GM 15862656 pigtail. All wire gauge sizes have been upgraded to easily handle the current demands of the Blower Motor at all speeds. Heavy duty 12 ga. wires for the 12v power, ground (-) and the high blower circuit.

Harness is color coded to match the original vehicle wiring (there may be exceptions to this depending on the year and make or your vehicle). Included are free Sealed Splice Connectors (Heat Shrink Butt Connectors) for easy installation.

If you prefer, you can solder the connections and then use a quality 2:1 or 3:1 epoxy heat shrink to cover the connections.

Easy Installation Instructions from buyWiring:

Installing our pigtail harness is a snap! Use the color codes to distinguish which wire goes where. These installation instructions will guide you through the installation process whether you're an amateur hobbyist, occasional home mechanic, or professional automotive technician. If you've never done it before, here's how it's done in a simple step by step process. Say goodbye to low quality replacement harnesses and while you're at it, say goodbye to ever replacing a 7 wire blower motor resistor harness made by buyWiring.

Cut original vehicle harness and connector kit wires in a staggered fashion to eliminate the stacking of splices.
Strip 3/8 inch insulation from end of each wire to be connected. Be careful not to cut any of the wire strands.
Connect wire(s) together with the provided sealed splice connector(s)

Note!

Make sure to connect the wires to the same position they were on the original harness (see Reference above).

Sealed Splice Instructions:

Position stripped ends of wire into splice connector until wire stops.
Hand crimp each side of the splice connector using an approved crimping tool (P/N 12085115). Gently tug on the wires to ensure that they are securely crimped.
Apply heat to the outer shrink tubing of the butt connector until it seals against the wire. Use a heat gun or Ultra Torch P/N 12085116. A small amount of epoxy should flow from the ends of the shrink tubing when heated properly.

Caution:
Do not use any open flame!

Do not over heat butt connector!

	Fast Shipping and Right Product
	I bought the product on the 27th of December because my wife's front vents in her trailblazer were not working. No speeds 1-5. I received the part 3 days later (really fast shipping). The part also came with instructions and heat shrink to use on the wires. After about an hr of work everything was hooked up. The moment of truth. I turned on her vents and they started blowing. 	Great Harness & Repair
	I spliced in a salvage pigtail from another silverado and you could feel the plug get hot in only minutes. This one from buywire.com doesn't even get warm!!! A+++++ Shipping is great also. Had mine in 2 days a++++++

	As Advertised
	The wiring harness in my truck started melting after I replaced the blower resistor pack. This harness/connector is clearly a beefed up version of the factory installed item. It made a good solid connection and the wiring stayed nice and cool while running the blower on high. I highly recommend just replacing the harness with the resistor pack too!

	ONLY IF YOU WANT IT TO WORK RIGHT
	Use this unless you WANT to pay a dealer around $100.00 bucks plus the headache of dealing with the WHITE / BLACK only wires that make an easy job a pain. These are the larger size wires eliminating the melted wire syndrome that the cheap imported plugs use. You get whats ya pays for.
